1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the mobile application Byaj Khata Book (the "App") provided by the Developer. By downloading, installing, or using the App you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License

The Developer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, reverse engineer or create derivative works of the App, except to the extent permitted by law.

3. App Purpose & Use

The App is intended to help users keep records of loans, interest, reminders and related transactions. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter into the App. The App provides tools to create borrower profiles, add transactions, set reminders, share records and optionally back up data.

4. User Data & Storage

By default, all app data (profiles, transactions, reminders) is stored locally on your device. The Developer does not store personal user data on its servers by default. If you enable the optional cloud backup, your data will be stored in your Google account (for example Google Drive or Google backup service) and will be subject to Google's terms. It is your responsibility to manage and secure backups in your Google account.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

The App offers optional "Premium" purchase plans (e.g., Monthly Subscription, Yearly Subscription, or Lifetime Access) to remove advertisements and unlock premium features.

A. Payment Processing

All financial transactions are handled exclusively by Google Play Billing. The Developer does not collect, store, or have access to your credit card or banking information. By making a purchase, you agree to Google Play's Terms of Service.

B. Auto-Renewal Policy (Subscriptions)

If you purchase a recurring subscription (Monthly or Yearly):

• Automatic Renewal: Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Charges: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of the selected plan.
• Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time by going to your Google Play Store Settings > Subscriptions. Uninstalling the app does NOT cancel your subscription.

C. Lifetime Access

The "Lifetime" plan is a one-time non-consumable purchase that grants access to Premium features for the lifetime of the application on the Google account used for purchase. It does not require renewal.

D. Refunds

All purchases are final. Refunds are handled directly by Google Play according to their Refund Policy. The Developer is not obligated to provide refunds for partially used subscription periods.

6. Advertising & Third-Party Services

Free Version: The App may display third-party advertisements. These ad services may collect anonymous usage data.

Premium Version: If you purchase a Premium plan, third-party advertisements will be disabled.

We may also use third-party services for analytics, crash reporting, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., Google/Firebase). The Developer is not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

7. Sharing & Export

The App provides features to share or export profile data. When you use these features, the data you choose to share will be transmitted to the selected app or service on your device. You are responsible for ensuring you have permission to share any personal or financial information.

8. Backup & Updates (Important)

You are strongly advised to create a backup of your app data before performing app updates or uninstalling the App. The Developer is not responsible for any loss of data resulting from updates, device failures, or user error. Maintaining your own backups is your responsibility.

9. Calculation Disclaimer

The App provides automated interest and loan calculations for convenience. However, errors may occur due to incorrect input, software bugs, or rounding differences. You should independently verify important calculations before acting on them. The Developer will not be liable for any financial loss resulting from reliance on the App's calculations.

10. Limitations of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues arising out of your access to or use of the App. The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

11. No Financial Advice

The content and features of the App are for record-keeping only and do not constitute financial, legal, tax or professional advice. Always consult a qualified professional for advice related to finance.

12. Termination

The Developer may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time without notice. Note: Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription. You must cancel your subscription via Google Play Store settings to stop billing.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When material changes occur, we will update the "Effective date" above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India for any disputes.
