Introduction

Byaj Khata Book ("we", "our", "us", or "the Developer") is a simple loan & interest tracking app. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles data and what choices you have. The app is primarily designed to store data locally on your device; we do not collect personal data on our servers by default.

Information & Where It Is Stored

1. Local data (on your device)

Byaj Khata Book stores borrower profiles, transactions, reminders and any files you create/export locally on your phone by default. This data stays on your device unless you explicitly use backup or sharing features.

2. Optional cloud backup (your Google account)

If you enable the optional Google account auto-backup feature, your app data (profiles, transactions, reminders) may be stored in your Google account (for example Google Drive or the Google backup service). That backup is controlled by your Google account and is subject to Google's terms and privacy controls.

3. Analytics, Play Store & Billing data

We do not collect personal data on our own servers. However, Google Play Console, Firebase, or other Google services may provide us with aggregated or anonymous statistics (such as installs, crash reports, subscription status, and basic usage metrics). These metrics are managed by Google and are not tied to the personal borrowing data stored on your device.

How We Use Information

• To let you create and view borrower profiles and transaction records on your device.
• To schedule and show local reminders on your device at requested times.
• To allow sharing/exporting of profile data when you use the share feature.
• To verify your Premium status (Subscription or Lifetime purchase) to remove ads.
• To use aggregated app statistics to improve the app performance.
• To respond to support requests sent to our contact email.

Payments & Subscriptions

Byaj Khata Book offers optional "Premium" plans (Monthly/Yearly Subscriptions or One-time Lifetime Purchase) to remove advertisements.

• Payment Processing: All financial transactions are handled directly and securely by Google Play Billing. We (the Developer) do not access, collect, or store your credit card details, bank account numbers, or payment information.
• Purchase History: Google provides us with a receipt/token to verify that you have made a purchase so we can unlock premium features for you. We do not see your personal financial details.
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions anytime in your Google Play Store settings.

Advertising & Third-Party Services

Free Version: The app displays ads via third-party advertising networks (e.g., Google AdMob). These ad networks may collect device identifiers or anonymous usage information for ad delivery and measurement.

Premium Version: If you purchase a Premium plan, third-party advertising SDKs are disabled or hidden, and no ads are displayed.

We may also use third-party services for analytics, crash reporting, or cloud infrastructure (for example Google/Firebase). Those services have their own privacy policies and terms. We do not control those services' data collection practices.

Sharing & Transfers

We do not sell your personal information. Data may be shared only in these cases:

• If you choose to share profile details using the app (sharing sends data to the chosen app/service on your device).
• With third-party service providers that help run backups, ads (for free users), or analytics (subject to their terms).
• To comply with legal requests (law enforcement, court orders) or to protect rights and safety.
• In the event of a merger, sale or transfer of assets — you will be notified where required.

Notifications & Reminders

Reminders are scheduled and delivered locally on your device using local notifications. The app does not send push notifications from our servers unless you explicitly enable any cloud-based notification option (if and when implemented).

Data Retention & Deletion

Byaj Khata Book does not retain user data on our servers by default. Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. If you use cloud backup, backups are stored in your Google account until you delete them.

Billing Data: Google Play retains your transaction history according to its own policies. We do not hold this data.

Disclaimer

The App is a record-keeping and convenience tool. While we aim to ensure accurate calculations and safe updates, errors or technical issues may occur. Please always keep your own backups and independently verify important calculations. The Developer is not responsible for any loss, error, or damage resulting from use of the App or reliance on its calculations.

Children

The app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such data, contact us to request deletion.

Security

We implement reasonable measures to protect data stored in the app and during backup, but no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. Keep your device secure and use backups carefully.

Your Rights

You may review, edit or delete your data using the app. To remove cloud backups, delete them from your Google account. For other privacy requests, contact us using the email below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, notify users through the app or on this website.
